A blonde was walking down the street one afternoon with two dogs on leashes.
One dog was tall, elegant, and walked proudly beside her. The other was much smaller, full of energy, and kept sniffing everything along the sidewalk.
As she passed a man walking in the opposite direction, he stopped and smiled.
“Oh my,” he said, “you have such beautiful dogs.”
The blonde beamed proudly. “Thank you.”
The man looked at the dogs again and asked, “What are their names?”
She pointed to the taller dog first.
“That one is Timex,” she said.
Then she pointed to the shorter dog.
“And this little one is Rolex.”
The man blinked, slightly confused.
“Timex and Rolex?” he asked. “That’s… interesting. Why did you choose names like that?”
The blonde let out a long sigh and shook her head, as if she had answered the question a hundred times already.
“Honestly,” she said, “everyone keeps asking me the same thing.”
The man waited for an explanation.
She rolled her eyes and said:
“Duh… what else are you supposed to name your watch dogs?”
