Late one night, I decided to save a few minutes by taking the shortcut through the old cemetery.
Halfway down the path, three young women hurried over to me, looking terrified.
One of them asked,
“Excuse us… would you mind if we walked with you? We’re really scared of cemeteries at night.”
I smiled and said,
“Of course. I completely understand.”
We walked together for a few moments in silence.
Then I casually added,
“I used to be afraid of walking through this cemetery at night, too…”
The three women looked at me.
“…back when I was alive.”
I’ve never seen anyone run that fast in my life… 👻😂
