A man boarded a crowded plane with six children following behind him in a noisy little line.
One had a backpack bigger than he was.
Another was carrying a stuffed dinosaur.
Two were already arguing over who got the window seat.
The youngest looked ready to cry before the plane had even left the gate.
The man somehow managed to get everyone into their seats, fasten six seatbelts, distribute snacks, settle an argument over headphones and stop one child from pressing every button above the seat.
A woman sitting across the aisle watched the whole performance in amazement.
“You certainly have your hands full,” she said.
The man smiled tiredly.
“You could say that.”
A few minutes later, one child asked for juice.
Another needed the bathroom.
A third wanted to know if the plane could crash.
The woman kept watching as the man handled everything with remarkable patience.
Finally, curiosity got the better of her.
She leaned across the aisle and asked,
“Are all of those kids yours?”
The man looked at the six children.
Then he looked back at her.
“No. I work for a condom company. These are customer complaints.”
