A guy was wandering around town one afternoon when he spotted a bar he had never noticed before.

Outside was a large sign:

“ALL THE BEER YOU CAN DRINK FOR $1!”

He stopped immediately.

“One dollar?” he thought. “This has to be the greatest bar in the world.”

He pushed open the door, walked inside and took a seat at the counter.

The place was nearly empty.

The bartender looked up.

“What can I get you?”

The man proudly placed a dollar on the counter.

“I’ll take the all-you-can-drink beer deal.”

“Sure, right away,” said the bartender.

The man smiled and settled comfortably onto his stool.

He was already imagining spending the entire afternoon there.

Then the bartender reached under the counter, pulled out a tiny shot glass, and filled it halfway with beer.

He placed it in front of the man.

The man stared at it.

Then at the bartender.

Then back at the glass.

He picked it up and held it toward the light as if perhaps there was more beer hiding somewhere.

“What the hell is this?” he asked.

The bartender calmly wiped the counter and replied,

“That’s all the beer you can drink for $1.”
