One evening, a husband came home after a long, exhausting day at work.
He walked through the front door, kicked off his shoes, tossed his jacket onto a chair, and collapsed onto the couch with a worried expression.
His wife was sitting nearby, watching television.
Before she could even ask how his day had gone, he suddenly called out,
“quick, get me a beer before it starts.”
His wife looked at him curiously.
“Before what starts?”
But he just waved his hand impatiently.
“Never mind that! Just hurry!”
She rolled her eyes, went into the kitchen, and brought him a cold beer.
He grabbed it, popped it open, and drank the entire thing in one long gulp.
Then, without even taking a breath, he looked at his wife and said,
“quick, get me another before it starts.”
His wife frowned.
“What on earth are you talking about?”
But the husband simply glanced nervously at the clock and repeated that she needed to hurry.
Although she was getting annoyed, she decided to humor him one more time.
She fetched another beer.
He snatched it from her hand and emptied it just as quickly as the first.
Then he wiped his mouth, leaned back on the couch, and called out again,
“quick, get me another beer before it starts.”
That was the last straw.
His wife had spent the entire day cooking, cleaning, and taking care of the house, and now her husband was treating her like his personal waitress!
She marched into the living room, planted her hands on her hips, and shouted,
“if you want another beer you lazy bastard get your fat ass up and get it yourself!”
Husband murmurs
“shit, it started.”
