A police officer arrived at the scene of an accident on a narrow, two-lane road, where two cars had nearly collided head-on.
An elderly woman stood beside her damaged car, looking furious.
“He wouldn’t let me have my half of the road!” she kept complaining.
After listening to her story, the officer approached the other driver, who was examining the damage to his vehicle.
“Sir,” the officer said, “this lady claims you wouldn’t let her have her half of the road. Care to explain?”
The man sighed, shook his head, and replied,
“Officer, I would have gladly given her half the road—if only she had decided which half she wanted!”
