A young blonde newlywed called her mother one afternoon, crying her eyes out.
“Mom, I just don’t know what to do! Robert doesn’t appreciate anything I do for him!”
Her mother sighed sympathetically.
“Oh, sweetheart, calm down. I’m sure it’s just a misunderstanding. What happened?”
The bride sniffled.
“Well, I wanted to surprise Robert with a nice dinner, so I bought a frozen turkey roll. But when he found out how much I’d spent, he started yelling at me!”
Her mother sounded furious.
“What?! That cheapskate! A frozen turkey roll only costs a few dollars!”
The young bride sobbed even harder.
“No, Mom! He wasn’t upset about the price of the turkey. He was angry about the airplane ticket!”
Her mother paused in confusion.
“Airplane ticket? Honey, why on earth did you need an airplane ticket?”
The bride wiped away her tears and explained,
“Well mother, when I went to fix it, I looked at the directions on the package and it said – ‘Prepare from a frozen state,’ so I flew to Alaska!”
