A man and a woman were enjoying a lovely candlelit dinner at an elegant restaurant.

The atmosphere was romantic, the food was delicious, and everything seemed perfectly normal.

At least, that’s what the waitress thought.

As she walked past their table, she noticed something rather unusual.

The man was slowly sliding down in his chair.

At first, she assumed he was simply trying to get comfortable.

But then he slipped a little lower.

And a little lower.

Before long, only the top of his head was visible above the table.

The waitress stopped and stared.

A few seconds later, the man disappeared completely underneath the table!

What made the situation even stranger was the woman’s reaction.

Or rather, her complete lack of one.

She just sat there, calmly enjoying her meal, occasionally sipping her water as though nothing unusual had happened.

The waitress couldn’t believe her eyes.

“Surely she’s noticed!” she thought. “How could anyone miss something like that?”

Concerned that the poor man might have fainted or fallen off his chair, she quickly approached the table.

Leaning toward the woman, she whispered politely,

“Excuse me, ma’am… I think your husband just slipped under the table.”

The woman calmly took another sip of her water, smiled, and replied,

“No… he didn’t.”

She nodded toward the restaurant entrance and added,

“My husband just walked through the front door.” 😂
