THE EXTRA ZERO

I still remember the day I came home from school with my math paper.

I proudly showed my mom the score: 90%.

She stared at it for a few seconds and asked,

“Where did you get that extra zero?”

I looked confused.

“Mom, I didn’t add any zero!”

She gave me a little punishment, but I kept insisting,

“I swear! I didn’t add the zero!”

She was getting more and more frustrated.

Finally, I shouted,

“Mom, I’m telling the truth! I only added a NINE!”

She froze.

Then she looked at the paper again.

Apparently, my math skills weren’t the only thing that needed improvement…

My survival skills did too!
