A man was sitting next to a mother who was trying to feed her baby on a crowded bus.
The baby refused to eat.
The mother sighed and said, “If you don’t eat, I’ll give it to the man sitting next to me!”
The baby still refused.
Twenty minutes later, the mother repeated the same warning.
“If you don’t eat, I’m giving it to him!”
The baby stubbornly refused again.
Finally, the man leaned over and said,
“Ma’am, you’d better make up your mind!”
The mother looked confused.
“Why?”
The man sighed.
“I was supposed to get off six stops ago!”
The mother burst out laughing.
The baby just kept eating nothing…
And the man realized he’d been trapped in the world’s longest negotiation!
