A man was taking a peaceful walk along a river when he noticed something unusual in the water.
A blonde woman was standing waist-deep in the river, splashing around with a pile of clothes.
She rubbed a shirt between her hands, dunked it under the water, then slapped it against a rock.
The man stopped and watched for a moment.
He wasn’t sure whether she was washing clothes, fishing, or inventing a completely new sport.
Finally, curiosity got the better of him.
He walked closer to the riverbank and called out,
“What are you doing in there?”
The blonde looked up as if the answer should have been obvious.
“I’m washing my clothes.”
The man glanced at the wet shirts, the socks floating nearby, and a pair of jeans slowly drifting downstream.
He scratched his head.
“Why don’t you use a washing machine?”
The blonde stopped what she was doing.
For a moment, she looked almost offended.
Then she sighed, shook her head, and replied,
“I tried that, but it was too dizzy.”
