THE PRAYER LAWSUIT

A bar opened right next to a church.

The church members weren’t exactly thrilled about having a bar as their new neighbor, so they prayed every day for the bar to close.

A few weeks later, lightning struck the bar, and the entire place burned down.

The bar owner was furious.

He sued the church, claiming,

“Your prayers caused this!”

The church immediately denied any responsibility.

“We had nothing to do with it!”

The case went to court.

After hearing both sides, the judge shook his head and said,

“This is a very difficult case.”

He paused and looked at both parties.

“On one side, we have a bar owner who firmly believes in the power of prayer.”

“On the other side, we have an entire church that apparently doesn’t!”

The courtroom went silent.

Even the judge had to admit…

This case had a divine twist!
