A woman was flying to Italy for an international conference.

Her husband drove her to the airport, helped with her luggage, and gave her a goodbye hug.

Before she headed inside, she smiled and asked,

“Is there anything you’d like me to bring back for you?”

He laughed and said,

“Sure… bring me back a beautiful Italian girl!”

She simply smiled, waved goodbye, and boarded her flight.

A week later, he picked her up at the airport.

As they drove home, he asked,

“So… how was the conference?”

“Wonderful,” she replied.

After a few moments, he grinned and asked,

“And what about my souvenir?”

She looked puzzled.

“What souvenir?”

He laughed.

“The Italian girl I asked you to bring home!”

She smiled mischievously.

“Oh… that.”

She paused just long enough to make him nervous.

Then she said,

“Well… I did my best.”

“Now we’ll just have to wait about nine months to find out whether it’s a girl.” 😂
