A naked man was walking down the street one evening with a woman sitting on his back.

People stopped and stared as he calmly made his way along the pavement, acting as if there was nothing unusual about the situation.

A man on the other side of the road couldn’t resist asking.

“Excuse me!” he shouted. “Where on earth are you going like that?”

The naked man looked over and replied, “I’m going to a fancy dress party.”

The other man blinked in confusion.

“A fancy dress party?” he asked. “Dressed as what?”

The naked man smiled and said, “A tortoise.”

The man across the street stared at him, even more confused than before.

“A tortoise?” he repeated. “How exactly are you supposed to be a tortoise?”

The naked man said nothing at first and simply adjusted the woman on his back.

The other man pointed and asked, “Well then, who is the woman on your back?”

The naked man replied:

“Oh, that’s Michelle.”
