A man came running home from work, burst through the front door and nearly tripped over the doormat in his excitement.

His wife looked up from the sofa, completely confused.

“Are you all right?” she asked.

He didn’t answer. Instead, he grabbed her by the hand and hurried her toward the bedroom.

His wife could hardly believe what was happening. Usually, when he came home, he spent ten minutes looking for the remote, complained about his boss and asked what was for dinner.

But tonight, he was full of energy.

He pulled her into the bedroom, shut the door and dramatically threw her onto the bed.

She gasped.

Then he jumped in beside her and quickly pulled the blankets over both of them.

Under the blankets, everything was completely dark.

His wife’s heart started pounding. He hadn’t acted like this in twenty years of marriage.

For a moment, she wondered if he had planned a romantic surprise. Maybe he had finally remembered one of those relationship articles she kept sending him. Perhaps the old spark had suddenly returned.

She moved closer and whispered:

“What has gotten into you?”

Her husband raised his wrist between them and said excitedly:

“Look! My new watch glows in the dark’.
