After a lifetime of hard work, Grandma Smith finally retired and decided to enjoy some peace and quiet.
During a routine checkup, her new doctor asked to see a list of her medications.
As he read through it, he suddenly raised his eyebrows.
“Mrs. Smith, are you aware that you’re taking birth control pills?”
Grandma smiled.
“Of course, Doctor! They help me sleep at night.”
The doctor looked completely baffled.
“But ma’am, birth control pills don’t help with sleep!”
Grandma chuckled, leaned forward, and gently patted his knee.
“I know that, dear. But every morning, I grind one up and stir it into the orange juice my 16-year-old granddaughter drinks… and believe me — I sleep just fine.”
